Against the month before
August 2026 is the first month in our verified price series, so there is no earlier month end to compare against. Movement on this page runs from the month's first check on August 10, 2026 to its last on August 31, 2026.
What moved
Between August 10, 2026 and August 31, 2026, 319 models carried a verified price at both ends. 32 fell and 11 rose by at least $25 and 1 percent with the same number of verified sellers at both ends. Another 103 models moved while the seller count changed, which is a change in who is selling rather than in what anyone charges, so they are not listed.

A model without a verified price is not necessarily off the market: it means no seller we can verify was listing it at a price we could read on that date.
How to read this
Prices come from retail listings that pass the catalog's verification: whitelisted or partner sellers only, matched to the exact model, accessories and lookalike variants excluded. Each model's price at a check is the median of its verified listings. The month end is the last check inside the month, here August 31, 2026, and a month gets a report only once it is over and its checks span at least 20 days.
The median price is the middle of those per-model medians across every model priced at the month-end check. The middle half runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile of each model's lowest verified listing. Movement compares each model only with itself, from the month's first check (August 10, 2026) to the month end, and the headline move is the median of those per-model changes.
A drop or rise is listed only when the model had the same number of verified sellers at both ends, so a lower median means a seller changed a price, and only when the move is at least $25 and 1 percent. A move of 40 percent or more with an unchanged seller count is far more often a listing swapped for a different product than a real price change, so it is left out of both tables; 3 models were left out on that test this month. 345 models have carried a verified price at some check through August 31, 2026; only models still in the catalog are counted. The full rules are on the methodology page.
